I pierced mine by myself. You have to leave a stud in it for at least 12 weeks. I would make sure that you always have a stud in because I took mine out at a band festival (the director says we can't wear any jewelry) and it closed up a little in just as little as 3 hours. I had to pierce it again. Make sure the stud you leave in after you pierce it is real silver, because nickel is awful and so is gold. There's also some kind of thing they sell at Wal Mart that makes it heal faster, but I don't know what it's called.

i dont know about that.. but like my bffl did her be4 by herself and it got really bad she was but in the hospital for like eight days.. so really you might want to go to a professial but hey do what you want

Um my friend did,,,and I can't really remember either, all I remember was her saying that she had to numb it down with ice, and pierced it herself....but for the healing, idk. You're piercing the other side? Well that's different. Good luck!

why dont you just pay 30 bucks to get it done professionally. that way you know its done right. but each to their own, do what you want, but i think its dumb to pierce it yourself.
