yes it still exists but in many other forms now you have the mexican mafia, italian mafia, black mafia ect. Where there is drugs and money the mafia will always exist.

Yes, and it is still usually classified by ethnicity. They are also still usually centered in/around urban areas. Sometimes there is a thin line between mafia activity and being a patron of someone in an ethnic community.
