You have to visualise your problems The kitchen floor is a rectangle 12ft by 20ft If each tile is 1ft then the rectangle has 12tiles across and 20 tiles down so you have to fill the rectangle with tiles 12x20 tiles each costing $1.25 Draw the fence 25ft down one side 35ft down the other You have to assume it is a rectangle so the other 2 sides will be 25ft and 35ft now the fence is measured along each side (different to the tiles where you are filling in the inside) so add up all the sides Its good to try and work out your math not just ask for answers
