I have a 3000GT as well. I need a little more info but I will try to help from the normal that can go wrong with any car. If it wont start and it clicks is because the starter is done. Just change the starter it should start. Another possibility is that the alternator is done as well. By switching in a new, it will let the car turn on. Another thing might be that the platinum spark plugs are burned out and need to be replaced as well. Now if you mean it turned off on you while driving, then its because you blow the motor. Now if it doesnt start it is because you need a new starter, alternator, spark plugs, or even a new battery.

First, ignore the 'advice' given here so far. It ranges from misleading to plain wrong. The alternator has nothing to do with whether or not the car is firing when turned over, and the timing belt is a completely different issue.
You need to do some basic troubleshooting, using a voltmeter, to find out where the spark is getting to, and where the problem lies. If the spark plugs are not firing at all, it's because they are not getting any spark. Trace the current from the battery out; and find out at what point the current has been stopped. For example, check the voltage coming out of the coil. If you have voltage going into the coil, but not coming out, replace the coil.
