I have a HP dv4000 and my textured scroll on the mousepad suddenly stopped working. I can still use my mouse ro use the pointer, but I can't use the scroll to move up and down. When I hook up my wireless mouse the scroll works fine so I don't know what the problem is. When I go into the control panel the option for the scroll does not show up.
Thanks

The touchpad is delicate...it may be damaged.

If you're running XP, try resetting to an earlier benchmark on system restore when it was working. If that doesn't work, try reinstalling the driver(s). If none of that works, you may have a damaged and non-functional item.
