Ha.... I had that problem when I first got my tongue pierced. It was painful. I ate soup and drink liquid. Don't remove the ring and after you ate make sure you rusin your mouth with Listerine. It keeps your mouth clean and will numb your tongue. Listerine was my favorite buddy at that time. Good luck

you can not go back to eating until the healing is finished. this could take a week

You can eat. But whatever you do, don't take the piercing out. I'd tell you to eat pudding or icecream because they're soft. Plus, the icecream is cold and will numb your tongue a bit. Don't starve yourself. But, don't eat citris because that will make your tongue HURT.

You have an infection. Go to your doctor right away! Piercings should not be bleeding five days after the fact. Either you have not been taking care of it or your piercer messed up, either way, see a doctor, and you may have to say bye bye to your piercing.

Try drinking a smoothie or somthing like that cause the coldness will help numb the pain, and they are filling. Also, drinking it should hurt less than eating normal food.

Why would you get a tongue ring? Tongue rings are crass and degrading to oneself. Yes, people have the right to do what they want to do, but it affects society. How can you care about other people when you obviously do not care about yourself? I think when people say that the reason why people get tongue ring is for self expression or for making a statement is bogus. The real reason is because they are internally upset with a situation from their past or present. It is the same thing as cutting yourself. To me, it means that you are not happy with yourself and you are taking it out on your body. I'm sorry, but I had to sound off. This is just what a lot of people feel, but are afraid to say it as because people would be deemed as politically incorrect.

Remove it ASAP and go to the doctor. You have an infection.

Oh, and throw it away. Those tongue rings and studs are death to your tooth enamal. You are also risking tooth decay from chipped enamal.

Sorry, you should have thought about that before you got it pierced. I hope you have good dental insurance to cover all the chipped/broken teeth that go along with metal in your mouth.

My suggestion: blend all your food. Thats what you get for piercing your tongue.
