saliva drys lips out because of the food that you eat gets into the cracks. Use "A.N.D" ointment, where you can get at your local cvs. And if you bite your lips, your just exposing the inside to who-knows-what.

I used to lick my lips all the time and then go out in the wind, so my lips were destroyed! Using vitamin A and D oitment can really help, it repairs, heals, and nourishes overly-chapped lips....just use it before bedtime and you will wake up with soft and healthy lips...good luck! :) it usally takes about 2-3 day of repeated use....

Vaseline is a great treatment. I often get chapped lips and was told by a friend who is a nurse to use vaseline.

I find vaseline works pretty well. Dry lips are often a sign of dehydration. Try drinking lots of water.

Carmex is probably the best thing that you can get from a drugstore. I also like Badger Balm. I get it at a health food store. It is not as thick as Carmex and it works really well.

A couple things - don't lick your lips. Saliva will dry them out and make your mouth smell. Secondly, try carmex or burt's bees lip balm.
Try it several times the first couple days so the dry top layer exfoliates.

1st, it sounds like your becomming dehydrated. You need to dring some good (non soda) beverages. Water to be specific.

2nd, use a good vaseline or Blistex medicated (blue twist cap tin). It tingles a little but works wonders.
