We have bigger brains because we're more intelligent.
It's kind of self evident. Large brains wouldn't have evolved if they didn't make us smarter and more fit.
Brain size has a fairly high correlation with IQ (R= 0.6). The significance becomes even more apparent when you take into consideration the size of the body. So yes, bigger brains equate to bigger IQ's.

its actually the higher functions that are added on, so emotion, abstract thought, religion, those sorts of things, apes have an IQ.
