If I were you I would call someone to come get you. Or go to your nurses office and they can also help you out. As to cleaning your underwear, I would just throw them away because its really hard to get the blood out. As for what you should use. Don't use a tampon if this is the first time you started your period. They can be very dangerous. If you decide to use them there are directions in the box or you can ask you mom or even the nurse at your school. Don't be embarrassed to ask someone about it. Its very normal. You should use a pad. Just set it in the front of your underwear. The difference between pads and liners is that you use a pad if your not using a tampon. You use the liner when you use the tampon just in case you are not able to change it in time. It really doesn't matter what kind of underwear you wear, but I wouldn't wear a thong if your using a pad. Also you can wear anything you want I just suggest not to wear white. As for your discharge I never experienced that so you will have to ask someone your comfortable with about that. Well I hope any of this helped you at all and that your day gets better : )

Yeah I have. It was only for a couple of days, but it was pushed way up inside from not knowing and trying to have sex. It was very hard to get out after that..
But at least I learned to be more careful! Ive never left one in on accident since.

My aunt left hers in once for about 3 weeks and kept wondering what the nasty horrendous smell was, she thought her vagina was funky like a yeast infrection or something. She had to go to doctor, he figured out what it was and got it removed.

It can happen if the tampon is put in upside down and the string is hidden and you forget about it. This is what can cause toxic shock syndrome.
