Ok. I've been at this place for about 3 months. I just had my 3 month evaluation, and I got the maximum raise they could give me. But I'm moving in january, so I need to give my notice to them so i'm giving it tomorrow. Any advice? What should I say when I first go to them. I don't know if I should be like 'hi, i'm here to give my notice" i'm not for sure what to greet them with. any advice will help.

Well since you're moving in January then thats fact ! You have nothing to be shy about. You have a life just like others in which anything can happen. Just go up to your boss and tell him/her that You have something important to discuss and if he/she has time to discuss sit down with'em and tell them that due to whatever circumstances or family decision you will be moving therefore you would like to give notice. Your boss should appreciate your honesty of giving them a heads up in advance rather then just calling in one day and saying you won't be showing up. Atleast you're giving your boss a chance to find your replacement so they would infact appreciate it more. So don't be shy about it, be very frank and profesional about it. Its a normal thing.

Make sure its in writing also.

Write it and then memorize it and recite it when you go into your bosses office.

Hi, I have a very important announcement to make. I am relocating in January and I am here to give my two week notice. I would love to train anyone for my position for the remainder of my time here.
I thank you for a wonderful work experience and I will leave with the upmost memories.

Be professional and stay professional. Do not burn bridges. Tell them you are sorry but you must give them notice and why. (moving, better offer, school, etc.) Give it to them in writing as well. You might be able to ask for a letter of recommendation from them. When you go job hunting in the future it will be a door opener.

Hi! I am so sorry to say that despite the fact that I enjoy working here, and due to circumstances beyond my control, I have to give my notice. Here it is in writing and I hope one day I might return to this area and to this company. I hope I have worked to your benefit while here and I hope I can look forward to a positive reference from you.

You need to type a letter of resignation. You should thank the company for hiring you, thank them for taking the time to teach/train you. You always want to leave on good terms. Yo want to use them as a good reference. Apologize for having to leave the company so soon. I hope this helps and good luck.

you should greet them with something you feel comfortable saying like for example hi i have an speech to make could you please listen
