yes it can. i was just diagnosed with this the other day. they didn't give me pills, but they gave me a cream that i have to insert for 7 days. If you don't take your meds and all it can cause complications. I talked to my doctor about it. Good luck!

Yes i have heard it can. Not that it is specifically just that. Its the type of infection like many others that will just cause problems early on with the embryo giving it harder time than usual. Dont stress though because this isnt always the case. But yes it can increase the chance. Good luck with everything and best wishes

no but it can cause pre term labor and infection in the womb.its very common among women and i had it all 3 times i was pregnant.my doc gave me meds for it.i asked my doc how to prevent it and she said unlike a yeast infection theres nothing you can do to prevent it.its something you dont even know that you have until you are tested.just use the meds your doc gives you and it will go away.read what to expect when youre expecting it has a passage on it.

There is a slight increase in some women in the first trimester, but will not definiitley cause a miscarriage.. They will just give you pills for it to clear up and everything will be fine.

although bv is not an std bv can be spreaded by sexual contact (though it can also be transmitted in other ways) bv can cause pregnancy complications such as premature rupture of the membranes and intraamniotic infection which may lead to premature labor or low birth weight if lift untreated
