Range is the highest minus the lowest number of your data (in the above example, 15 -1 = 14 would be the range)
The mean is the average of all your data
To find the median yo have to order all the numbers and the central one is the median, for example, 1 4 5 6 6 7 8 9 11 12 15
7 is the median because is in the middle.
The mode is the one that repeats the most in the serie, in the same example 6 would be the mode...
There are some formulas for more complex set of data, if you need them let me know..

hopefully this should explain it for all mathamatical abilitys

the mean is all the numbers added up divided by then number of numbers

eg. 4,6,7,3,8

mean = (4+6+7+3+8)/5

the median is the middle number when the numbers are in order

eg. 2,4,5,(7),8,9,9

if there are an even number of numbers then take the mean of the two numbers on the middle

the mode is the number that occurs the most in a set

eg. 2,4,5,5,5,6,7,8,10,20,40
mode = 5

there can be more than 1 result for the mode

eg. 2,3,3,3,4,5,5,5,6,7
mode = 3, 5

hope this helps :D

range- the difference between the highest and lowest
number in a data
mean- the average
median- the middle number if an even number of data find the average of the two middle numbers
mode
mode- the most similar number for an example like inn 66, 66,98,89 66 would be the mode becuase its repeated the most

Example: (5,7,7,8,10,10,10)
The range is the lowest and the highest values. (5 to 10)
The mean is the average, found by adding them all up and dividing by the number of data points (5+7+7+8+10+10+10)/7
The median is the middle number, found by counting from the top and bottom (8)
The mode is the most common number (10)

okay for the mean you need to add up all the numbers you have and divide it by the amount of numbers you have.
ex: 2,7,8,3,5 add these together then divide by 5

okay for the meidan you need to put all your numbers in number order then find the middle number.
ex 1: 3,9,1,4,6/ex2: 2,9,3,5
1,3,4,6,9 the middle number is 4/ 2,3,5,9 pick the middle number between the two numbers the answer for ex2 is 4

okay now for the mode, mode is the most often occuring number:
3,6,7,8,3,5,1,6
in this set 6 would be the mode because it comes up the most

the "mean" means to find the average. so you find the sum first. example: 3+6+9+1=19. then you divde the sum by whatever how much variables or numbers. example: your have 4 numbers to get your sum. divide that by 4.

19/4=?
I forgot median and mode. one of them has to do with which number repeats

range: subtract highest # from lowest #
meidian: put all the numbers in order biggest to lowest the see which one is in the middle, if there isn't a middle # then add the two #'s then divide by 2.
mode: which # in the list is listed the most.
mean: (like finding the advrage), you add all of the numbers then divide by how many #'s there are in the problem.

hope this helps!!!!

mean is average
add all values and divide by number of elements

median, put all numbers in numerical order
median is the middle element
if there are an even number of elements, average middle two elements
