the answer would be 3 because you need to do the opposite of addition for the 3 so you would subtract the 3 from both sides of the equal sign then you woul dbe left with 2x=3 then you would do the opposite of multiplication which is divison so you would divide by 2 on each side of the equals sign to get an answer or 3
