It depends on what you like to play. Give it a try, it's not bad really. There are a lot of things to do with the dogs and you can have more than one. If you don't like that, Harvest Moon DS is pretty cool in my humble opinion.

it's a virtual pet.
at first it's cool and addictive.. but soon, you'll get bored.
My advice is, try it for a week (or be4 the return policy is over). if you still like it by then.. by all mean keep it.
But, if i were you, i'll return it and get Animal Crossing DS (and stay away from harvest moon DS.. it's really bad! Animal Crossing is FAR more superior a game than that Harvest moon DS (bleechh)
