It's possible and very expensive. I would expect the price to be in excess of $5000.00 for a decent job. You can't just saw the top off and go for a drive. The frame will have to be reinforced so the car does not sag in the middle.

Yes but it would take EXTENSIVE work on the body & frame of the car. Unless you're dying to make a very specific car into a convertible, you'd be better off just buying a convertible in the first place.

Contrary to other answers, yes, you can just saw off the top of your car without reinforcing the frame. I did it with a 1978 Ford LTD and it worked perfect and looked professional. Well, as professional as you can with a sawsall. I know this doesn't help you any but what the heck. To answer you question with any sincerity, many people are doing it with older muscle cars like the GTO, Camaro, and Mustang to name a few.

the measurements on a convertible may be a little different since the top needs space for storage and retracting mechanisms. You might want to check the specs before you begin

With some creativity and a plasma cutter, anything is possible.

However, you'll want to draft up the new design first and check state inspection laws/vehicle code before you cut anything.

it can be done, but it would be very expensive. you cannot just cut the top off. convertibles are built different. they even weigh a little more than hardtops.
