I was so sure it was wednesday, but then after being told it was tuesday and proved wrong, I felt like a complete fool: now how could i possibly lose a day. Can this be ok, as i have had a lot of things on my mind lately.

I went to bed one monday night and dreamed the whole of tuesday. Nothing out of the ordinary happened, just the usual things that I would do on a Tuesday. the dream ended when I went to bed - and obviously I woke up and thought it was Wednesday. It took some convincing to make me realise it was a Tuesday - perhaps you did something similar

Hi,
Yes: so many times !!
Not only me rather so many persons while studying in my med university and esp. during examination days, it was only the date which everyone remembers not the day. Once, I forgot the day and ask my room mate that what day is today? He told me. perhaps, Friday. I came out of room and asked some other friend, he replied that its Tuesday. When asked to another, got different answer. But, surprisingly, everyone remembered the date. So it happens when some one deeply involved in certain activity e.g. preparing the exams. It can happen.

I've lost whole weeks before. As in, been convinced that it was the 22nd, not the 29th before. I guess in my case I don't have much structure to my life as I'm a university student, so all the weeks seem to merge.
However, my mother is a good one for being convinced it's the wrong day too, so maybe it's more common than you think!

Wednesday seems to be followed by Friday in my week. Maybe I stay up too late on Wednesday night/Thursday morning, & it just seems that when I wake up on Thursday, it feels like Friday. (So maybe daveboy's right).
