Nobody has any good reason to sue the fast food companies. If people weren't happy eating at McDonald's and similar restaurants, those restaurants wouldn't still be in business (provided that they don't get subsidized by the government or become a government contractor of course). The lawsuit against McDonald's for making somebody fat was too laughable even for our awful court system to consider, which is fortunate. If they had successfully sued McDonald's in that case, it would have been a disaster, as it would have shown that there is nothing absurd that the courts won't consider.

No, they are fully capable of saying no to going to the fast food restraunt in the first place and know the concequences of eating it. If a person becomes obese/overweight from eating fast food, they have no way to say that it's the fast food restraunts problem, it's the persons problem that they chose to eat it.

Absolutely not, the same thing as hot coffee and they "didn't know". What idiots, they know, they weren't born yesterday. It says the nutrition facts on the little fry packaging. They should consider watching Supersize Me. People will do anything for money, and it's so upsetting a judge is so stupid and would do that. They can't make that decision right, how could they make it right about a murder trial.....people these days!

Nope - you chose to buy it and everyone knows fried foods are not healthy and cause weight gain. They had the choice to buy a salad and chose not too - they should be responsible for themselves.
Now, if the fast food companies are putting in weight gainer tablets, that's a different story.

Fast food companies should be sued for many reasons, but fatness not being one of them. To name a small few:
-Adding countless amounts of harmful (sometimes deadly) chemicals to ALL of their food, even the salads.
-Lying to their CONSUMER about the presence of animal products (beef tallow) in their french fries.
-Sacrificing the health of the general public, all in the name of profit.

No. You have the ability to limit the number of times you go in, the type of food you eat and the option not to supersize it.
