The lyrics go "speak her name, and I get misty eyed", etc.
It might have been Jim and Gene.
Any how, I want to buy a copy, if someone can tell me
the actual artist and title.

Speak her name was sung by Walter Jackson in 1967 and Arthur Conley in 1969 and sung by David and Jonathan (British Invasion singer-songwriter duo Roger ("David") Greenaway and Roger ("Jonathan") Cook. Best known songs include the romantic "Michelle" (1966) sung in both French and English. "Michelle" was originally written and recorded by the Beatles, and their version is perhaps the best remembered. Of all the remakes of "Michelle" released to date, however, the David and Jonathan version is the only one that made the Billboard Top 40.)

Lyrics

Speak her name
And I get misty eyed
Yes, I get misty eyed
I miss my baby (baby, baby, baby)

Speak her name, speak her name
Oh, I begin to cry
Yes, I begin to cry
I miss my baby (baby, baby, baby)

It's got to end someday
I can't go on this way
Living in the past
Forget about the sorrow
And live for tomorrow
This is all I ask

I don't want no-one speakin' her name
All I want is to forget
I know I must forget
Oh, she's not my baby

No she's not my baby
Baby
I need you, my baby
(Yes he is, yes he is, yes he is)
I need you, my baby
(Yes he is, yes he is, yes he is)
I need you, my baby
(Yes he is, yes he is, yes he is)........fade
