I was 10.5 weeks with twins at the time. They had died 13 days prior. I had an emergency D&C done. I bled profusely. I had contractions and passed huge clots after each set of contractions. I went through full throttle labor without the baby to hold afterward. Here I am well over a month afterward and still having days of spotting out of nowhere and no cycle in sight. I'm really sorry for posting/asking such depressing news on this board considering all of you are pregnant. I don't want to cause unnecessary worry to anyone. I know how scared I got everytime I heard a miscarriage story. So, I do apologize to anyone that this effects in a negative way.
I know there are many women who have gone through this and or miscarriage in general. I have had previous miscarriages but none of them required a d&c procedure. I know they said that I could bleed up to 4 weeks, but it's even past that now. You think this is cause for concern?

I am so incredibly soory for your loss. I had to have a medical termination at 5 months at the end of September, believe me, I know how bad your heart is breaking. Except I got to see and hold my dead baby boy. I don't know how I'll ever get over it. At the end of October, I too had to get a D&C. Huge clots, was hemmoraging at work! Soaked in blood from the waist down. Emergency D&C. I stopped bleeding about 3 weeks later. If you are still bleeding, go back to see your OBGYN. Now. They should have booked you for a follow up 2 weeks after the procedure. Maybe they just missed a bit of tissue which is causing you the bleeding. Please go see your doctor. Take care of yourself. You are in my thoughts.

They may need to go back in and do a repeat D&C. Docs make mistakes some times and maybe yours didn't get everything cleaned out all the way. Maybe your body is thinking that it aborting the babies. You may want to call and talk to the triage nurse tomorrow.

I know this is a very hard thing to go through but you are a very strong women and you can do this. You will one day be blessed with a bundle of joy. If you can not carry a baby full term then you can always adopt a newborn. Good Luck and you will be in my prayers tonight.

Sometimes it takes as long as 12 weeks to recover. I strongly suggest that you DO make an appointment to see your regular OBGYN. There could be some problems. However, you could be just fine. Don't worry too much, but make the appointment just to be sure.
