I had an emergency c-section 3 years ago and I have just flabs of skin that hang down in front of my tummy. The doctor told me I could have a tummy tuck and that would be the only way to loose it. I have exercised and everything to try to loose it and I can't. I really don't care though, I have a precious little boy that was the result of it and I would do it again.

I'm sure it all relates back to your body type. Every body deals with weight differently.

I know women who have had C-sections and are just as skinny as before the birth. Much the same as women who had normal births. I have had 4 C-sections and put on weight with each that I haven't been able to budge but I have always struggled with weight.

Summary: if you do not have weight issues you will more than likely be able to get back that pre-baby body, just with a C-section then it may take a bit longer because your body needs to repair first.

I had my first child by c-section 3 mth ago, and I have found it very hard to lose weight, even with breastfeeding. My incision still hurts sometimes when i am very active, but drs say this is normal, since it is considered major surgery. Just don't start excersising too soon!

yes it takes longer with a c section, your body doesn't go back to normal as fast as it would with a regular birth. After 6 weeks though you can work out which helps a lot if you have the determination. my body all went back to normal kind of fast the problem area with c sections is the tummy. good luck

i am pretty sure it does because your body isn't delivering naturally so you don't do every thing you would normally do to and your body doesn't release the hormone to make you start losing the weight as fast plus you have to sorta stay sitting or lying and can't be as active but i think breast feeding makes a much bigger difference you use like 500 calories a day breastfeeding after i did a natural child birth and breast fed right away i barely looked like i had a baby peopl ehad no idea

Yes. It's major abdominal surgery! They cut through everything, so it's much harder to lose all of the weight around the belly... and sadly, the tummy is never the same, and never flat (at least in all the cases I've seen!)

I answered your other question and didn't even think abou that. Well I personally think so because your abdominal muscles are cut completely through. But I was not able to move alot afterwards either. So I would ahve to say yes.
