I am not so sure why. well it seems to me that music too can distract people from driving, cause they may get so distracted that they don't think about their driving.

Because talking on a cell phone is distracting, you laugh and talk, with music it is relaxing and you can focus on the road more.

because they want use both hands for drive but wen they use cell phones they can't drive and with music the just listen

Because your more consentrated on your conversation then your driving, but when your just listening to music i don't think it distracts you as much

Because we don't mess with the radio as much as we do with our cell phones. I was rear ended by a man who was messing with his cell phone and didn't notice that the light had changed and we were supposed to stop.

well, its only new drivers that it distracts, or people dating because they are to interested in their girl/guy
