I think a smaller bag is ok. Enough to carry a few dollars, compact, and tampon/pad!

Purses are OK if they don't pose a security concern or cause distraction in the classroom. There is nothing that makes a purse necessary at school. Most sanitary and beauty items could be kept in a locker, not in the classroom, if need be.
Consider women in the service, police, fire, etc. who do not carry a purse. Somehow, most men do without, too. It can be done, but only if there's a valid reason.

Yes, girls require things throughout the day to keep them comfortable and prepared. Having a purse a female student will almost always have a pen handy. Also she won't have to deal with the embarrassing task of trying to slip a tampon up your sleeve without anyone noticing. If girls did not have purses they would have to spend time rustling through their backpack looking for lip gloss!

Of course they should be able to! Guys can carry wallets. And both can carry backpacks. Trust me, it's a lot easier to fit a .45 in a backpack than a purse. Any school that'd refuse the use of purses is only going to teach kids to be paranoid and untrusting. It's ridiculous.

I say yes because lets say your purse has your ipod in it and a hairbrush and gum and your wallet and your cell phone.... you might need those things @ school and if you just bring your backpack then you would need to take it all out of your purse... put it into your backpack....then put it back into your purse!! Plus what if you go somewhere after school??? Only you can decide if you need to bring your purse to school or not!! Why WOULDN'T girls be allowed to use purses? They need it for their student id, their real id, money, tampons, etc. I don't go anywhere without my purse.

Yes. How else can they easily carry tampons or pads into the bathroom without everyone looking at her? Or having to take her entire backpack with her? How embarrasing.

They aren't allowed at your school??? Everyone at my school wears purses around everywhere, even to classes. I definitely think you should be able to.

totally i luv my purse and i have to have it and i am not aloud to bring it but i sneak it anyway and if i need to get somthin out of it i make an somthin like i have to use the bathroom or i need to get somthin out of my backpack

i couldnt manage without my purse.....so yes i definitely think girls should be allowed to use purses at school...where else are we supposed to put our stuff?
