Inhale when he/she pushes the needle through. Thats what helped me. I was nervous as hell, but its so quick you'll be like 'you're done already?' The biggest thing is to KEEP IT CLEAN; especially when you first get it done. Don't touch it without washing your hands with anti-bacterial soap. Yes, it can get infected, but so can your piercings in your ears. The key with any piercing is to keep it clean. Whatever instructions the shop gives you FOLLOW THEM. Go for it! I love my piercing! And PLEASE don't listen to the closed-minded that have negative opinions about navel piercing. Having your navel pierced is not skanky or any other ignorant term that people used. What makes a person skanky is what they do, not a piercing. I know plenty of respectable, professional women with navel piercings, myself included.

Hi! Depends where you get it done. Hurts about a 2 or 3, It hurts at first but its only for a few seconds. You Should at least wait a month or 2 till you go swimming, But if you appsolutly want to go you can just put a waterproof bandage over it, and make sure you clean it really good before and after. Dont Sleep on your stomach for a few weeks. Wear loose clothing for a couple weeks. um Clean it 2-4 times a day, Alwase wash you're hands before touching the piercing. Cleaning products you can get are: H2Ocean,Bactine,Anti-Bacterial Soap ( No other soaps with strong fumes or anything) And Sea Salt *non Idolized*. Hope i helped:-D GOODLUCK!♥

There's no way to relax, other than to know that once the ring is through, the pain is over. I would not recommend getting anything dangle. It will easily get caught on your clothes and pulling the ring will cause an infection. I think the worst part for me was the needle going through. It was uncomfortable when they pushed the ring through, but it was not as bad as the actual piercing. I hate to tell you this, but this is a very painful place to get pierced. Once you have it done and over with, ask the people for some sea salt. What I did was, put some sea salt in a shot glass with HOT water. Then I held the glass over my belly button until the water cooled. ( Usually 5-10 minutes) I kind of shook the glass so the salt water swished around the piercing. When I was done, I could see the infection floating around in the shot glass. It may sound gross but it helped mine heal quickly. Good luck.

I made the mistake of getting the bottom pierced instead of the top..it hurt like HELL. But 3 of my friends got the top pierced and they said it was a piece of cake. What i did was i had my boyfriend there with me and when my other friends were scared that had us there with her. It really calmed them down. Good luck and just keep remembering that ur belly is gonna look so sexy and hott once its over..beauty is pain : )

It's a piece of cake. Close your eyes. To be honest it hurts more a day after it is pierced then the actual piercing. It is really quick. Don't be afraid.

I haven't got my belly pierced yet, but I have tons of research on it. The pain depends on how much you can handle pain. If you can take lots of it, having your belly pierced probably wont hurt much.

the best rule of piercings is to go to a licenced professional they can talk to you about the whole process, another golden rule of piercings is to keep them clean and keep your hands off the piercing (other than turning them as instructed by piercer) infection defiently hurts trust me, the great thing about piercings is you can take them out

Oh sweetie, be a leader not a follower! Every other girl out there has it done. If you want to advertise being easy, just wear a sign your shirt, it's less painful that way.
