How would they understand what you were telling them once they were hypnotized? They need to read their lips or see sign language? If they were concentrating on sign language how can you get them to go under??

Why, do ears have something to do with shutting down the conscious mind while in a deeply relaxed state?

I guess a better question would be: Can a deaf person sleep?

Yes. You can really hypnotize a chicken, and a chicken obviously does not understand any of the world's languages.

I don't know but they speak louder to a not-deaf person in a wheelchair too! I guess they just don't understand proper deafness and are thinking of what their hard of hearing grandparents need them to do? That doesn't explain the same treatment of those of us in wheelchairs though!

it sounds to me like a piece of cake unless the subject is hyperactive and then it could be screwing them up for life, if you know what you know.
