Just recently me and my girlfriend joined cingular we both got new phones. Me the d-807 and her some other phone. Well less than two weeks from having it she returned it and got the cingular 8125.

About a month after getting it she dropped it and now the screen wont show up. I called cingular to try to see if their was insurance on the phone. They said that they do not offer insurance on a phone that expensive. (i think its $400+)

Were they lying to me, or is that true? what should I do??

No they do NOT insure those phones!! If you want insurance on phones of that type call your insurance agent and ask them about insuring it. Also there are a couple of places On the web that insure those types of phones. Just do a search as i don't remember the name of the companies.
Hope this helps.

I just looked through my Cingular plan and information book and can't find anything about insurance. I have Cingular but the phones are Motorola so I think you would have to get insurance from the maker of the phone. Now that you have brought this up I
am going to contact both companies. I do know that you contact
Dept Public Utility Control,
www.state.(put your state in here).us/dpuc.
Phone: 866-381-2355. I think we should let everybody know that
has these services, That's if we ever get an answer. Good Luck
