I have a black sweater that I am about to wash for the first time and it is 60% cotton and 40% acrylic?

Question

will it bleed on other clothes on the first wash?

I dont want to use quarters up to wash one sweater. will it bleed out if I soak it in the sink instead?

I would wash it in cold water in the sink the first time. Don't wring or twist it too much, soak up excess water in a towel and lay flat to dry. Make sure that when you do wash it in the machine, that you don't wash it with towels because it will "pill" up...and I hate that! I would stick to hand-washing!

Your new black sweater will probebly bleed on it's first wash so wash it with other black items or even dark blue will be ok. Wash it in cold water on the gentle cycle. Lay flat to dry if you are really worried about it shrinking.

It is very likely. Put some salt in the wash with the detergent and cold water. Wash it alone on the reverse side. Use a gentle cycle.

wash it alone in a sweater bag (they cost about 3dollars) on the gentle cycle. If you wash that black sweater with other cloths lent might also collect on it.

i respect the first jacket! That variety is so in, yet I’d bypass with the grey no longer the black, that way you note the embellishing. the 2d cardigan is lovable, I don’t comprehend many severe college boys that placed on cardigans yet in case you pick to rock it, bypass for it.
