Holy crap. I got a 1070 on the SAT (out of 1600). If I take the Caplin Course over the weekends and prep for my next SAT, can I get a rough estimate on how much that might help me? I winged it on the SAT, because I didn't take the PSAT, didn't practice for the SAT, and only briefly skimmed the Princeton Review's SAT guide. A 1070!!! That can't even get me into a community college! I can't even be a hairdresser with that score!!

And guess what! I have straight A's and am taking AP courses and honors. I don't understand how I could get such an abyssmal score. My essay was an 8 out of 12. I couldn't believe it. a 510 in critical reading!! a 560 in math!!! a 580 in writing!!!

God help me, I'll never get into UVA. I'll never become a doctor... :(

First of all, you spelled Kaplan wrong. You could try doing the practice tests offered by the Princeton Review. The courses might help.

You should find out what the average SAT score is at your school, a 1070 from a school that has an average score of 800 means more to colleges than a 1300 from a school who has an average score of 1400. Colleges want to know if you excel in the type of education that's made available to you. If you go to a prestigious private school, or if you go to a under-funded public school, colleges' expectations are different.

I got into college with an 830 on my SAT. The way that colleges usually work is that they take a cross section of applicants who meet the majority of the requirements and accept them into the freshman class. Its a matter of how well rounded you are as far as activities and studies together are concerned. There are plenty of people who scored in the high 1500's who are working at Burger King and going to community college simply because they couldn't find a university that would accept them.

SAT math is totally different from regular math. SAT's require alot of studying, The first time i took them I got a 1290, and the next time, i studied and went up to a 1420!!!
And don't worry about the writing. Concentrate on math and critical reading- they are the only sections that count. trust me- I'v eread alot of college bullitens.
And yea, if u wanna be a dcotor you're gonna have to get those scores up. Good Luck!

relies upon what your in it for, i come across it is not the night, it is not the placement regardless of the undeniable fact that it is the individuals who you're with which the two makes it an excellent night or an puffed up one. I recommend how can dancing the night away ( burning loose energy) and having some laughs with acquaintances be puffed up?
