OMG! Oh no it's not alright to go tanning. *Tell her this ...* They even tell you when you get it done not to take baths and not to go into a pool or a lake. I have 15 tattoos, every time they have told me not to go out into the sun or even a tanning bed. If you do have the need to ... I would buy some super proof sunscreen. Most of my work was done during the summers anyway and I've always gone out and bought the baby sunscreen not to mention use the stuff the tattoo artist recommends! Plus if you don't use any type of protection the tattoo will fade and look nasty it may even have the possiblity not to heal properly!

NO! Tell your sister that she needs to let them completely heal before tanning in the sun or at a tanning bed. After six weeks, they will be completely done healing, and tell her to use the highest SPF she can get. Otherwise she will make the coloring fade.

the uv rays are not good for the skin. she should check with her tattoo artist or aesthetician that did it before she goes through with it. Most tattoo artists recommend keeping new tattoos out of sun and harmful uv rays for at least six weeks.

I would not reccomend it. She should wait a few days until the ink has fully set in.
