Give them real chores - do not give them any money
The little ones are watching the big ones so to avoid more problems in the future - put structure to your day and stick to it - if you do not teach them working habits it is the end of you!
Son can take out the garbage, vacuum, and have part time job at the video shop
Daugher can do the dishes and go with you to help in the supermarket or whatever you need
Dont give up

It sounds like you are having some family problems. This happens all the time. Do you have any services out there like Family Support Service where you can talk with someone? Sometimes there are services that will visit your home and talk with you about your problems. It sounds like you are tired and your husband sounds like he is tired too. Yes teenagers are hard to manage at 16 but be assured teenagers are hard all over the world!!
Are there any books out there that could give you some tips on parenting 16 year old girls maybe you could look some up on the internet. parenting teens.about.com has some useful information , www.focusas.com/Parenting.html - 81k also looks good and www.parentingteenagers might help. Also your husband might need to understand that you are doing the best you can and you need help. If he is fed up then so are you but you are trying. Maybe if you could get him to help and maybe look on the internet together might help you. If you type in parenting teenagers into th enet you might get some great sites. Yes its hard with teenagers but hang in there and talk with your daughter and see if she understands how hard it is. Also set some boundaries around helping out ith the house hold chores and times that she can go out etc . maybe you could all habe a family meeting and get everybody talking (not at once)
I hope i have helped in some small way. God bless

I am taking it from your question you have 5 kids,a son who is 20 and is no bother, but you daughter 16 drives you mad and on top of that you have kids aged 4,9,13 and 16.
Well firstly stop been a dish cloth and tell your husband to help out, your children will give you hassle until they leave home.
I am taking it that your husband is ready to leave cause he is fed up ?
well he is pathetic,he has a responsibility to those kids and you also.
Ask other members of the family to help out.
I dont no if i have understood your question correctly.

please stop asking questions while your are drunk, you've stated that your son is 290yrs instead of 20,i think you need to edit it,thats why people cant understand your questions,go bed, sleep on it and talk to your 16yr old daughter in the morning.good luck,

Put the 4, 9 and 13yr olds to bed, help the 290yr old to put his/her slippers on, and the 16yr old should look after him/herself!
