I believe if the teen is quality and doesn't act like a fool than yes.. I mean if that perosn is very responible and all she/he should be able to get a job at a department store or so forth in that area or even food place. There are some teenagers who are very well with the ideas what the real world is and no how to handle it in the apporiate way, well some hows have to grow up some more. But I do believe teens should be able to get jobs if qualitified and suited for the job.

There are many jobs offered to 16 year olds and some places you can even work at when you are 14 (like and amusmant park that I know of). Most jobs that involve cash registers and stuff you do have to be 18 and that makes sense to me. People don't want to put all of their money and profits and stuff in the hands of a 14 year old. I think the ages are good how they are.

I don't know what 1* is but where I live 14 year old can get jobs at the local supermarket. Other than that the age is usually 16 or 18.
Personally I don't think that anyone younger than 16 should me allowed to handle money. But if your 14 and you want to bag groceries I really don't care.

I think that the legal working age is fine. At 14, you are allowed to apply for a work permit in most states. Some grocery stores might employ you as a bag boy/girl.

Go find a job, I had one as a umpire at 13 and made 16 bucks an hour... Only got to work 2 to 3 hours a day durning the fall, spring and summer, except weekends, I would work up to 10... Good job... Just look around for non triditional jobs, call a farm, call a vet, etc...

hell NO the lowest u can possibly be and work is 14, then you can only work a few hours anyway and no one will trust you with important jobs so just wait till you're like 16 that's when you can do things people will want you for

No, trust me, mowing people's yards and doing odd jobs as a teenager is enough work. Once you get into the job market you will work and work and work some more. Enjoy your freedom while you can.
