I love my Beretta! The car has been in my family for about 17 years and it has taken us everywhere. I inherited it about 3 years ago and I love it. I have a red 1988 Beretta GT with the 2.8 V6. I believe it was one of the originals that was made in 1987 but sold as a '88. The little guy has over 230,000 miles on it and it is still running very strong! The only thing I didn't like about it was the interior. Chevrolet did a horrible job back in the day on it's interior. If you owned 5 Berettas then you must know of the problems with the interior. It cracked, it was easy for the sun to burn the dash and and the map pocket on the door fell apart. If Chevy had put more quality work into it, then it would have been MUCH better. But now I overlook it just becuase I love it so much. I personally like the body styling. The design never changed throught the years it was in production, but for some reason it never looked old. I have a lot of memories in this car. I hope to one day do a full restoration on it, God willing some drunk driver doesn't take it from me. It's rare that an American car can take so much mileage, but this one is special.

I always liked them. They have a certain character you don't see today's cars; Berettas were a value sporty car with an aggressive feel; the gt was the baby brother to the Camaros and Corvettes. They had that "80's cool" look, especially the ones that were well optioned. Today we're cursed with a generation of bland, foreign chassis based cookie-cutter cars and lumbering SUVs. If you can find a good one they're great, but the ones that haven't been cared for really went down hill fast due to being a cheaply built car and winding up in the hands of teenage drivers. Despite so many being sold, you'll notice there aren't many on the road today, with un-wrecked examples languishing in junkyards across the country. At least parts are plentiful!

FIVE Berettas?? This is one of the worst vehicles GM has ever produced. Rotten body fit & finish, miserable engineering and build quality, very poor interior design and materials, etc. etc.
But I'm happy for you....(Hahahahahaha!!)

I concur! The Beretta is one of GM's little jewels.

Have you asked yourself why, if Berettas are such awesome cars, have you owned five of them?
