If you had a friend who accused you of something and they didn't bother to ask if you did it or show any proof that you did or did not do it, what would to do to tell them you did or didn't do it without having them tell you why did you lie to me or something to that effect.

It sounds like this person may have other reasons to believe you are not innocent.

Remember, our relationships with others are composed of ALL our experiences. So if you've done this before, your friend might have reason to believe you've done it again.

Writing a letter explaining it to your friend would help. Just tell them to trust you and that you didnt do wahetever they accuse you of. If they don'y belive you at first be patient, if they never belive you they will loose a friend in you. Do yopu really want to have a friend that doesn't trust you after all? Good luck!!

Tell them the truth. If they are really your friend, they will either believe you or forgive you and move on. If they continue to accuse you and treat you differently, it is time to move on. That is simply a sign that the friendship has run its course. In life, not all friendships are lasting ones. Sometimes you have to accept that the friendship has fulfilled its purpose.

I would still try to tell them my story and conclude with if you were my true friend you wouldn't even accuse me of something like that. If they still don't want to be your friend after that and you know you really didn't do what they accused you of then, you shouldn't even want to be friends with them. Pray on your situation.

Tell your friend that it is beneath you to have to defend yourself against his allegations. And then leave him/her alone to waddle through their sh*t. He really isn't a true friend if he behaves the way that he has toward you. Move on.
