Hi all. I was wondering if turtleneck sweaters were a good option for men as far as clothing is concerned. I am looking into adding some sweaters to my wardrobe this fall, and a few of my female friends have told me that turtlenecks are the way to go. They also told me that they love when men wear turtlenecks. Is this true, women? Would you recommend turtlenecks as well? If so, what are some good colors, styles, and things I can wear with them? Thank you for your time and for your fashion advice!

OH yes! Turtlenecks are very handsome. Wear them just the same as you would a dress white shirt. If you're wearing a suit with black pants and a jacket, wear a red or black or white turtleneck. If you're wearing jeans, wear a turtleneck.
Color wise, I think any color is nice except purple. It looks too old-woman- or too gay maybe.
To wear a turtleneck though, you do need to be at least fairly slender and cute in the first place- if you're ugly with cokebottle glasses it will just look dorky. (Some ugly glasses guys are really sweet- but the turtleneck could go dorky on them.)

Yes i love turtlenecks on guys.. BUT only if you are fairly Lean (u don't want too big arms or tummy). turtlenecks can go either way for both men or women because they make ur body look like a solid piece of color. try darker colors like black, grey, charcoal, etc.
also, i like the white button down long sleeve shirt and the argyle sweater-vest.. w/ some nice careworn jeans, khakis or dark wool pants. cute and preppy
striped polos/rugby's are also very nice :)

If you have a longer, shaved face, with a longer neck, then by all means, go for it.
If not, then forget it.
Basically, a hot guy can pull off anything, turtlenecks included.

i think that turtle necks aren't the best on men. try a highnecked sweater or crew neck (like a v-neck sweater but for guys) or a quarter zip sweater would work well too.

Try Jcrew,Banana Republic, or any high end store. They always have them. Although most stores sell different clothes for different season's so you might not find your appropiate style for this season because it is almost summer.
