Yes way longer! A cartilage piercing takes 3-12 months to fully heal and if you dont keep up with cleaning it every day you can end up with an infection and then it will take even longer to heal! They require so much more care than ear lobe piercings. Do your research please.

Yes because cartilage is like bone. It can take up to a year to fully heal. That doesnt mean it will hurt. It just means you will have to keep the earing in until it wont close on its own.

It does harm. nicely, a minimum of it harm me. I honestly have my nostril pierced, and my cartilage harm extra. regardless of the undeniable fact that, the actualy piercing soreness is temporarym, so it is not comparable to terrible soreness you may no longer cope with! yet cartilage is quite complicated to shelter. you will desire to be certain which you sparkling it as urged. additionally, I recommed getting it accomplished at a piercing shop, no longer Claire's or some place like that. it would desire to harm in case you sleep on the side you have your piercing on. that's the only factor that I didnt' like. therapeutic time continually relies upon. Mine took approximately...8 weeks (4 weeks = a million month). besides, i could decide for it. all the taking care is nicely worth it. i admire mine.

yes, it takes a few months longer to heal. with some people it never really heals. so just wait about a year before you take the earring out for more than a few hours.
