Forget Limewire, it's way too full of spyware. Try Morpheus. Much better, much easier, and much quicker. *glares at Limewire users* Not exactly ligit, but it works, ja know? ^_~

The nano CAN NOT TAKE PICTURES, but it can view them. Also, if you're getting music you already have on tapes or records, try this. There's always the ever annoying "free" songs on emusic, but I'd rather rip my old tapes. If you want to rip CD's, you can do that right in iTunes.
If you want stuff from your old tapes or records, you could plug your computer's microphone jack into the tape or record player's headphone jack, or get a RCA to minijack dongle if you don't have a headphone jack, but have RCA outputs. You can do music boxes through your computer's microphone (if it has one), too!
Next, get a decent sound recorder for your computer, the GNU Limited GPL licensed (Thus, it's free and probably open-source) Audacity works just fine. Now, you can rip your tapes or records. Click record and start your record/tape player, and push stop whenever you want. You'll have to do a lot of work for the MP3 exporter to work, so export it as a WAV.
Next, put the WAV in iTunes. To save space, convert the WAV to an AAC or MP3, then delete the now-unnecessary WAV when it's MP3 or AAC copy is ready to work to save hard disk space.
Put it on your iPod and you now have your favorite tape/record on your computer!
