There are many Amish sects. The old horse Amish are just one. Many of the modern Amish are not much different to look at than anybody else. All modern machinery. The only difference with a family that I had as neighbours once was that the computer was for business and not for games. The YTV was for watching the market report and not for soap operas. I have not really seen many movies about the Amish but I grew around them, they are very nice people. But personally I don't think I would stay sane for very long living without electric.
