My wife and I are teachers, so when we go on vacation, we like to get away from children. Are there any hotels in Orlando that aren't kid-friendly so we can lower our chances of hearing screaming, unsupervised kids? Thanks!

Unfortunately, in Orlando it's almost impossible to avoid kids because of all the familes on vacation at the theme parks. But there are a few resorts that are designed more for adults.

The Grand Floridian at Walt Disney World is one option. There are kids at this resort, but since it's a more upscale resort, there tend to be less kids. It's not really designed to be appealing to kids, so I think most families choose other resorts. I proposed to my wife while staying there. It's really the best resort on property for a romantic vacation. They have a spa, recreation and great dining at Narcoosee's, Citricos and Victoria and Albert's. The Boardwalk resort is a more lively, active resort with a greater number of kids. But my wife and I spent part of our honeymoon there in a Garden Suite, and it was very quiet and relaxing.

Another option is to look into Gaylord Palms resort. They have some dining, shopping and recreation that may be more up your alley, if you're looking to stay away from the theme parks.

Good luck!

Parents usullay don't go to high priced hotels

Choose Hotels that don't offer activities for kids such as waterslides etc.
