That's a difficult question that depends on a lot of factors.

I am in a committed relationship, but have female friends. My friendship with them is more on a casual level though, and I never really spend one on one time with them. I only see them in group functions. Other than an occasional phone call or e-mail, the interaction isn't much deeper than that. My significant other isn't comfortable with anything else beyond that. She and I came to an agreement of what is an acceptable friendship with the opposite sex. I'd have to say that in the opposite situation, I wouldn't totally be comfortable with anything beyond that either.

I would suggest trying to reach some kind of compromise on what is acceptable. It shouldn't have to be all or nothing.

Suggestion: if your male friend is seeing someone or can get a date, go on a double date. Introduce the two of them. If you give your husband an opportunity to make his presence felt, it may help him feel that his relationship with you is secure.

No, i do no longer think of so, regardless of the undeniable fact that that's problematic asserting with one hundred% certainty how my reaction could be. yet I incredibly doubt that the guy being woman could difficulty me. For a time I had a male terrific buddy. My husband did like the guy yet i think of it replaced into extra a character project. the guy have been given on his nerves. So it wasn't that my husband replaced into jealous or hectic.

Sounds like you've made your choice.
If the roles were reversed, how would you feel? Be honest.

Tell your friend you're sorry, but you're doing it for your marriage.
Hook up again when he has someone, and go out as couples.
