How can porn stars be proud of themselves??

I was watching the Tyra Banks Show today (it was about the adult film industry) and I was honestly LOSING MY MIND! They are so proud of themselves. They think they're doing something good for this world. They're honestly a waste of oxygen! And most of them have kids. Its parents like them that cause kids (and therefore society) to go right down the drain. Its not like they're respected or anything. They're only being used. They're dirty and disgustig. SO I ASK AGAIN... HOW CAN THEY BE SO PROUD!!!

I've known a lot of people in the sex industry, mostly dominatrixes, who are very proud of what they do. Some have told me they feel, in a way, that they are tricking stupid men out of their money. They say they don't feel they are being used since they are making massive amounts of money for doing something which they consider "simple". It makes them feel powerful because they have something someone wants to the point that people will pay for it. I can't tell them they are wrong for feeling that way but I see it the opposite way. People are paying them because they feel these girls will do anything for money. Most guys don't see these women as powerful, they see them as a form of amusement. I would feel like garbage if someone paid me for that sort of thing. I don't want to bring people joy if I find them repulsive even if they paid me hundreds of dollars an hour.

Well. My opinion concerning this is not popular, but here it goes...

I think porn stars and prostitutes are needed in society. The reason is that there are a lot of lonely men and women out there who don't have a chance in hell of being with a beautiful woman or man. Porn stars, escorts and prostitutes allow that opportunity to exist.

There are guys that women simply will not date because he or she is too ugly, or has too many issues, or is uneducated, or is a nerd, or is a shyguy. Porn stars and escorts and also prostitutes will date these people, and will have sex with this person for a price.

If the sex industry did not exist for these people, they would have nothing. They would be sitting in a dark room somewhere feeling unloved and unwanted. Is this what you want?

The more crazier, loners, and rejects of society; men who can't get women, and women who can't get a male partner would, or might resort to rape, or stalking. Or because they are human beings and human beings, being social animals must interact. With out this interaction humans tend to become depressed and disconnected; some commit suicide, some do drugs, some just go crazy for real. Is this what you want?

I think that Porn-stars, Escorts, and Prostitution are in a way doing society a favor, and are doing something good for the world. They provide social, sexual contact that human beings need when the so-called descent society doesn't want to have anything to do with them.

I'm beginning to suspect that some of the women out there don't want prostitutes, or escorts, or pornstars to exists just so they can have total control over the sex, and sexual, social interactions. Another way of having total control over men. They want to control the keys.

Seems rather cruel, selfish and evil if you ask me, but thank God that there are lot of women out there who are not like this.

I have no idea either, boggles the mind, doesn't it. But I have kind of a funny story, for the past 2 January's, my daughters & I have gone to Las Vegas, on both times, there where 2 major conventions going on. One was the porn industry, the other was a Priests convention,[every one wondered, why? L.V. for the preists], No matter where we went, there where, priests and the porn stars, what was really shocking was how unattractive the porn poeple were, I do mean really gross, over wieght, old ones packed into tiny clothing, if it didn't turn your stomach, it would have been funny.

I don't understand how they can be so proud. I feel as you do that they are a disgrace to themselves and to society and if no one watched their movies, they would find other types of work. Some states ban the showing of their films and I feel porn movies should be banned in all states.

Well, let's review. Since time immemorial prostitution has been around. Now with porn and porn stars the averager everyday person, men or women can see what they might be missing or what they can do to spice up their rather drab and mundane lives. So this is a needed service. When you see your favorite actor or actress going nude in a movie for the first time, are you shocked, no, why, because you know it is acting. Same goes for the porn industry. So, why should you care how they feel about themselves? It is their chosen way of life and that should be good for everybody. My niece of eighteen years of age has become one of the most sought after porn stars in the business and she has only been at it for about six months. I for one, am proud of her. It is her choice, not mine, not yours or anyone else's, hers.

now, don't get me wrong. some of them may be proud, but most who say that, just say it to hide how they really feel about what they're doing. yea, it's disgusting, but then again we don't know what position they're in. like, i hear about a lot of former child stars doing pornographic films. u know the story: they got to old, weren't cute any more, so they were fired. so yea. don't be too hard on them. but you're right, disgusting and very degrading. great question!!!

Well why not be proud, it not like they can change their past and live like the others, should a clerk or cook at a fast food joint be proud that they have the pleasure of serving jerks all day. Surly I do not wish anyone to be a porn star, but that the way god wanted it.

my friends mom works for playboy. it is wrong. how can u b proud of showing off ur body to people you dont even know and the whole world seeing u. and they are not doing anything great for this world. they are only making men want to do something, and that is probly rapist in this world because the men see them and then they want to do it!! so i agree with u
