I've always felt very alone in having "The voyage of the Dawn Treader" be my very favorite my whole life.

I dunno why... but something about the adventures and the different, strange things they encounter on the islands and in the ocean just fascinates me. Images like when Lucy is watching the mermaids, or her eerie walk up the stairs of the magician's house, or the fantastic sequence where eustace becomes a dragon - I just love it from start to finish.

I enjoy most of them except A Horse and His Boy. I love The Lion the Witch and The Wardrobe. It was the first. It was the introduction to the magic that is Narnia. Voyage of the Dawn Treader has always been enjoyable because I liked the adventure of going to the different islands. I loved Eustace's time as a dragon and his reformation. Silver Chair isn't quite as magical for me. But I must admit I do love Puddleglum. And I liked the idea that their troubles began because the kids wouldn't stay focused on the three signs/messages that Aslan gave to Jill at the beginning. I enjoyed Magician's Nephew because I liked to see the creation of it all. But I still feel very strongly that it is weak to start the series off with that book instead of The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. But I love The Last Battle. It is so good. It is just wonderful. So The Last Battle or The Lion the Witch and The Wardrobe would be my top pick.

I really, really like the Voyage of dawn treader. Just because of all the adventures and the islands they get into. Really loved that part where Edmund tells Eustace about when he was a traitor. My second favorite had to be The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. I mean, you have to love it! It's the original Narnian book ! The Last Battle is clearly my least favorite book, just because of the maturity in it and how the "magic" is gone.

I like them all very much. My favorite is probably the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe followed closely by the Silver Chair. I particularly like Eustace and his change and I am very fond of Puddleglum. I recommend the series to everyone.

I love The Last Battle as well, and those last few lines were so shocking and they are still clear in my memory. That's how much they grew on me.
"There was a real railway accident. Your father and mother and all of you are - as you used to call it in the Shadowlands - dead. The term is over: The holidays have begun. The dream is ended: This is the morning."
Wow. Those lines amazed me.

Definitely the Silver Chair. I have always adored Puddleglum. Also, I was always fascinated by the rhyme that was carved on the stone above where the giant king was buried.
"Though under earth and throneless now I be,
But while I lived all earth was under me."
