i just started taking the pill. i know they say you have to take it at the same time everyday but if i take it at 6 on weekdays and around 10 on weekends will it be ok?

You have to take it at the same time EVERY day. If you take it one time on weekdays and another time on weekends, not only will your protection from pregnancy not be good if you're having sex, but you'll get breakthrough bleeding at times due to taking it late on the weekends.
Pick ONE time and stick with it.

I'm pretty sure you'd be fine. I was on the pill for four years and just took it at any time I went to bed. It could be 8pm or 1am. And I never got pregnant. But everyone's body is different, so just know that there could still be a risk.

all doctors recommened that you take the pill at the same time everyday because thats how they think it works best. so yes you should take it the same time everyday.

you should switch to nuva ring, that way you don't have to worry about it at all! leave it in for 3 weeks, take it out for one, put a new one in!
