Yes, There is a system called web-tv that you hook up to your tv, and for like $10 bucks a month, you can get e-mail and internet. Ask someone about it, or go to a free computer at the nearest public library, and look up web-TV

A computer would be something you'd buy to ACCESS your email online. You can set up a free email account any number of places, such as Yahoo, Google, gmail, or hotmail. You can access your email from any computer with internet access.

You don't need your own computer to have an email account... you just need access to a computer.

you could always use someone else computer or go to the libary. Also some of the new phones are going to be supporting email. if you have sky tv or even cable then you can email with them but is can be expensive. you can also by a telephone which does email, sms and aslo makes and recieve phone calls its by bt and you should be able to find it in your argos catalogue or on the bt web site.

Some PDAs will allow access to e-mail, (blackberry anyone)
Some Phones will allow access to e-mail
WebTV if it's still around will also allow e-mail access without a computer.

yes, you can have your e mails sent to your cell phone, but you will have to buy a entire computer to send and receive e mails before you are able to have alerts sent to your cell phone.

Most Internet cafes have programs that recieve and send emails and as long as you set up an account and make sure you don't give anyone your password it's should be secure.
