Bad Astronaut - It's the singer of Lagwagon's side project. They just put out a new CD called "12 Small Steps, One Giant Disappointment." It's got kind of a 90's alternative sound, but a little more modern. Also check out their second CD, "Houston, We Have A Drinking Problem." They don't have all of their best songs on their myspace page, so either try dowloading them or buying their CDs

Also check out:
Whole Wheat Bread - They are the world's first Dirty South Punk Rock band. They're from Jacksonville, FL, and the play a mix between Crunk and Pop Punk.

Minus The Bear - They're pretty cool. They have a pretty original sound, and they have the best song titles, such as "Wanna Throw Up? Get Me Naked," "Thanks For The Killer Game of Crisco Twister," "I Lost All My Money At The Cock Fights," "Let's Play Guitar in a Five Guitar Band," and "Monkey!Knife!Fight!"

Franz Ferdinand's fisrt albums good, Jet's first album, Oasis is mainstream "indie" so to speak...depends how you like your indie! If you like the new vibes their putting in the records, i reccomend Broken Social Scene, a very artsy, new band....if you a hippy or a stoner, then enjoy Wilco!

it all depends on your taste in music
