So I have been friends with this girl for 6 years. We met in high school and we went to the same college. Her boyfriend introduced me to my now exboyfriend. I also got her a job where I work. Just recently she just stopped talking to me. I asked her questions at work and she doesn't even respond. I don't know if I should say something to her or not. She is the type of person that will just say there is nothing wrong. I just hate being there. I asked my superviosor about it and she said to just blow it off. What does everyone else think that I should do?

Having gone through the same thing I recommend you either ask her to her face what her problem is OR ignore her and let it go. It hurts but it's the best thing for you. Also, could your ex be spreading lies to her?

-Her boyfriend introduced you to your now ex-boyfriend ... maybe there is something there ... you may want to find out what was said to her boyfriend via your ex. Are the men still friends? She may have a boyfriend that doesn't want her to have anything to do with you ... find out if there is someone she talks with in confidence at work and see what they say ... You could remind her that men are men, and that your friendship goes way back before the two of them. Tell her your relationship with your ex had nothing to do with the two of them ...

You should talk to her. If you guys are friends for 6 years, nothing can come between you guys. Ask her what she's hiding from you. Maybe she is in trouble right now and need a hand?

Just go to her and apologize to her Say something like " I'm sorry if i did something to upset you but it was not intentional. If there is anything that i can do than let me know because i do not want to lose you as a friend." If she still doesn't want to talk than give her some space to think.

If she's going to act like that towards you, then she doesn't deserve your friendship. Don't stress over it. I agree with your boss, blow it off. Maybe she's going through something right now.....there is no telling what's going on. Just be yourself, and maybe she'll come around and apologize for her behavior. Best of luck to you.
