Biblically speaking, there is only one validated reason for divorce: Infidelity. As in your spouse cheats on you (and not by throwing a fit or using your credit cards to go on a revenge shopping spree). And, this is usually permitted only after both parties have made attempts at reconciliation. If such is impossible, divorce is permitted. One catch to that, divorced persons are technically not permitted to remarry.

Separation, in the case of infidelity or abuse, is permitted, with the understanding that others of the faith will help the couple define boundaries and reconcile. If this is not possible, my opinion is that the abused spouse must do what it takes marriage-wise to stay alive and unharmed. If that means taking a permenant leave, then so be it.

There is a wide range of thoughts where marriage, divorce, and remarriage is concerned, but if you want the Biblical view (upon which the Christian faith is supposed to be founded), then this pretty much sums it up (except for my personal opinion which I interjected in the previous paragraph).

It depends on what you mean by "unrighteous harm". Throwing a temper tantrum, although frowned upon by some churches, boils down to why she had the tantrum to begin with. There are usually mitigating circumstances as to why someone loses their temper. These should be taken into consideration before making a decision.
You will have to be more specific as to what you mean by "unrighteous harm" and "temper tantrum". Also, please explain why she threw this tantrum and what sort of harm it caused.

If a temper tantrum is something that would make you want to divorce your wife, then you should have never got married in the first place. Everyone has a temper tantrum.

Are you serious? You'd divorce someone who you married in the eyes of god b/c she had a tanner??? Well it doesn't seem a 'christian sin' to hit your wife (that stupid 'domestic discipline') so why not twist your religion like you do with everything, to agree with divorce? Sorry, but to me many (not all) Christians are hypocritical anyway.

You married her for better or for worse through sickness and in health. Sound like she has mental health issues. Ask your pastor if he can counsel the both of you or know someone who might be able to. So that you can get to them bottom of why she has so much anger.

She may be depressed and it is hard to deal with.

unrighteous harm? Did you get her that mad? When you married her, not only did you promise her, but you promised God that you would stay with her, for better or for worst. Also consider this.......the problem may be with you.

Divorce itself is not a "sin". It is the actions that lead to the divorce that are sinful (adultery, mental/emotional abuse, physical abuse, rape, abusing the children)
