Green is green.......which is about 555 nm in wavelength.

The human eye is the *most* sensitive to this wavelength, so the answer is yes.

terrific source is on line. (RatShack probable would not carry green lasers.) What you're finding for is an Argon laser. Helium-Neon is the purple, Carbon Dioxide is UV, and that i do no longer understand what makes up the blue that's grow to be universal.

To see it well you need to aclimitize your vision. Hold the lazer pointer about 2 inches away from your face and shine the lazer directly into one of your eyes for 1 minute.

The green light will be visible to the one eye, but not to the other.
