I'm with ya on the lap thing, sister.
But let's look at it this way...
Why are all the pictures of Jesus white? I mean, really...he wasn't European, so why would we assume that he was a white guy? He should at least have olive-toned skin.
The answer is because someone made a picture of him that essentially came out of their imagination.

In hallmark..they make a santa clause equal..meaning they make white santas and black santas..so black and white families are able to have a choice...because at a point in time there were no black santa clause pictures for black families to own..now that there are..they are pretty popular in black families..i guess some black families are tired of hanging up a white santa all over there house...and its part of marketing..

Well considering the image of Santa was created by the Coke company, I guess that gives Hallmark the freedom to create Santa how they feel he should look. Hey white guys are packin' too, atleast this one.

Santa is an Icon, in China he is chinese and in Poland he is Polish.
So it is only natural that people identify to icons that resemble them. Somewhere in the turn of the black pride movement in the united states I can't recall who but they made a big old painting of a black santa. It was an attempt to demonstrate the social differences between blacks and whites.
The end result was that it sort of just faded away as a memory but the icon being black has been around sense the slave days.
And hey us white guys need good luvin too :P

Well Chuck Norris and Mr.T got in a huge fight about who was going to be the fat jolly man with the beard. Chuck Norris started out with a round-house kick to the face but was countered by a machine gun to his gut. However Chuck Norris used his cowboy ninja martial arts power to brutaly kick and punch Mr.T. But the battle was finally won when Mr.T killed Chuck Norris with a Rhino Tank. So for now on Black Santas are gaining ground like all-get-out. The only thing that was heard from Mr.T was "I pity the fool!" as he dragged Chuck Norris' body in the alley.

There is nothing wrong with seeing black Santa's.I mean that kind of making you seem racist even though you say you're not.I am mixed and I use to think Santa and Jesus was mixed. But then I thought about it.We never really saw Santa or Jesus.Only in pictures and that is what they think he looks like. There is nothing wrong with being White,Black,Mixed,Asian,Chinese,Porto Rican,or any other race.

I don't know- Santa is based on St. Nicholas, who was of Eastern European ancestry; since Eastern Europeans were thought to have migrated from Asia, he's probably more Asian than anything.

Santa is only in the heart and imagination of each person. Black people may like to see him portrayed as black, White people as white. Next, however, there may be Asian Santas....
