get some c.l.r. or lime-away at the hardware store and while you are there get a good toilet flapper for the tank. apply this to the inside of the toilet bowl and brush, then turn the water off to the toilet then flush allowing most, if not all, the water out of the tank, then remove the old flapper and replace it with the new one, then turn the water back on to the toilet and if you have any of the cleaner left dump it into the tank at the same time. allow the tank to fill then flush again and repeat several more times. now with a
every other day brushing it should be fine. please note that putting in any chlorine based product only will add to the hardness
of the water.

Lime away works good but make sure you rinse it completly because it is so harsh. DO NOT use comet because it can scratch and the scratches will get dirtier faster and are harder to clean. I recommend cleaning it really well first and then scrubbing every day or so with a mild cleanser. I know what a pain in the butt hard water can be, but if you don't keep up with it it will be much more work in the long run.

Have you thought about crate training? It can be useful for toilet training because it better helps a puppy to understand when they're expected to hold on, and when it's appropriate to toilet. It also prevents them from messing in the house when you aren't around to supervise. And, give it time. At 10 weeks old, she's still very small and only beginning to adjust to her new lifestyle. Your older dog may have housebroken very quickly, but expecting your new puppy to fit into the same timeframe is only setting yourself up for disappointment. Just carry on being consistent and patient.

I reckon if anyone answers this question honestly, they will come up with the correct solution.

If you use bleach or use the brush you won't have a problem. Every time you use the toilet, flush it and brush it. It does not take very long.

Clorox makes bleach tablets that you put in the back of your toilet. I have soft water and I use them...hardly ever have to actually scrub the toilet. Keeps it nice and white!
