If you have a complete hysterectomy then you no longer have a cervix. So no you don't need a pap smear but you should still go in for an annual exam and possibly other test.

A hysterectomy is the complete removal of the uterus, which is a single organ. So unless only part has been removed, which is unusual, a pap smear cannot be done- where is the cervix?

I honestly have an identical fears. i don't have the bladder issues, yet everytime i circulate in for one, i'm getting very stressful and hectic. the physician keeps telling me to launch because of the fact the extra stressful you get, the extra soreness the pap smear could be. i continually ask somebody to maintain me employer. what i do is attempt to distract myself by using speaking to the different individual. it is nevertheless uncomfortable, however the speaking does help ease my stress in basic terms a sprint so as that the pap smear isn't as painful.

Depends if it is a total hysterectomy (where the cervix is removed) or a sub-total (where it isn't). if the cervix if still there, they need smears.

that would depend on if your'e cervix was removed too if you have a cervix, are under 65 and have EVER had sex you need the paps

just because you don't have ovaries, you still have a vagina, a cervix, and lots of other parts of the reproductive system that need to be checked up on becasue they are susceptible to cancer and diseases.

They should, my grandmother died from cancer because she stopped seeing her gyn.
