Well, I did sell mines on eBay and it went the first week I had it up there, I am not sure if you are really into the eBay thing or not but what you could do is find you a seller to sell it for you on there.
Now on to what you were saying about changing the look of the dress, you can always take it to a Tailor or even the cleaners, I think if you have a good one in your area you may get a new dress out of it that will make you happy again, if not you can always find a lover fall in love again and get married again.....( =
Just kidding about the last part......( =
Good Luck................................

First of all, I would want to know if you have children from this marriage. If you have daughter(s), they may be interested in wearing at their own wedding. It is not tacky if you married and had your children in love. A son's future wife may also wish to recycle. In this case, I would recommend just hanging onto it until they are old enough to decide for themselves. Also, you could make a quilt from the fabric as a gift to your children.
Secondly, if you feel alright using your wedding gown as a "little black dress", then go for it. You can dye it yourself and hire a seamstress if you cannot sew.
EBay is not such a great place for regular joes to sell used stuff anymore. Please consider going to www.craiglist.com and find your state. It's an open forum for selling items (amoung other interesting things), and they have a clothing section you could post an ad and a picture there. I have had GREAT success selling gently used clothing there. Best of all, it's free to list and sell!
Lastly, if you do not really need the money from proceeds of a sale of the dress, consider donating it to Goodwill or The Salvation Army. Young brides who could not otherwise afford to would have a chance to look beautiful on their wedding day. Or you could just list in the "free" section of craigslist.

Take it to a dry cleaners and tell them what you want. I'm sure they will help you, otherwise buy some black dye and follow the directions on the box. It might take a couple trys to get the darkness you desire but I've been tie dyeing cloths for neigh on 15 years and a little dye can erase the love that died. Good luck and God bless. Sincerely, John

Why would want to keep it? Donate it to a organization that can contribute it to homeless and/or low income women. Make some one's life brighter!

Like everything else from your marriage, you need to put it behind you. Sell it on ebay and donate the money to charity.

Do you have a daughter, if so....save it for her. If not maybe a neice? She might like to be married in it, or have parts of it incorporated into her wedding dress or ring pillow. A dry cleaner can pack it to preserve it for you.

You could donate it to a charity or something that way some women less fortunate than yourself could enjoy it.

Ask around about good tailors in your area. They could alter and dye it for you.
This is a good idea! Good luck!
